Next meeting of Remuera Heritage: 100 years of policing in Newmarket

 

Date: Sunday 25th July 2010 at 3pm

 

Venue: Newmarket Police Station, 58 Remuera Road, Newmarket.

 

Inspector Dr John Mitchell, currently Policing Development Manager for Auckland City District with responsibility for strategic and business planning, council & community relations and innovation, will talk about the centenary of the station on its site on the corner of Remuera and Middleton roads. The current building which was opened in 1938 was designed by Gummer and Ford, who also designed the Remuera library.

 

There is some parking at the back of the police station for those with limited mobility;   $5 for members; $10 for non-members.
